Does AlmaLinux + cPanel support PHP 5.x?
cPanel highly alters the distribution, and use its own repository, so this is no more AlmaLinux, better question for cPanel support.
BTW, PHP 5.x can’t build on modern distro, at least because of various recent libraries (including OpenSSL), without applying some huge patches.
If you really need PHP 5.x I recommend you stay on EL-7, and work urgently on fixing your app.
