Need to be fixed

During install of AlmaLinux when you use “custom” “partition” and try to define your disk setup there is no clear way to tell what sizes are and what is needed. Once you puzzle this rubish out and finally install system, a number of partitions are not mounted, other disks / partitions that are not flagged to be formatted are erased. This is common to other distributions we have tested such as Mint. It is a coding mistake from IBM/RH.
System in SL 6.5 and SL7.6 works. So how do we redesign somthing that worked and now it doesn’t work. A serious problem for all Linux distributions that us RH code.

thanks @ljl. We realize this is an upstream issue. Can you please file it over at https://bugs.almalinux.org so that this way we have it on file and can report it upstream?
