Remote Access to Active Display

Hello All,
I am looking for recommendations for a package that will allow me to remotely access and control the active desktop running on my machine.

While running CentOS 7.9 I had good success with x11vnc, however with Alma Linux 8.7 I have not been successful in replicating the same setup.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Hello there,
Thank you for your advice on x2go. Iā€™ve not heard of this program before.

I have given it a try and the Remote Desktop feature to control the active session works great. Not only that, I didnā€™t need to make any custom script or service files, and it even has support for xdmcp connection.

I know this is solved but no machine is very good ( I havenā€™t tried x2go yet - may take a look at some point )

The x2go is a fork of earlier no machine.

Hello @bob, please the more suggestions the better. Iā€™d seen this ā€œno machineā€ floating around during my search. I shall definitely test it out and see how well it works. :slightly_smiling_face:
