Rsyslog related problem

Can anybody tell me what the following error means when displayed as a result of
systemctl status -l rsyslog ?

unknown priority name  ""  [v8.24.0-57.el7_9]

I have full connectivity to the remote host that I am forwarding some facilities.severities to over on UDP.

The error is presented when I restart rsyslog without fail.

Make sure you are using tabs in your syslog.conf, and not spaces.

@joebeasley thanks for that info. I always thought it was the other way around, so I will have to check on that change.

I will get back to you and this thread as soon as I can test the change or confirm that was the problem at least.
