Screen resolution goes back to 800 x 600

I have few problems with Alma 8.6.

First problem is Screen resolution. I’m running on VMware ESX. I set the Video memory to 8MB.

I set the screen resolution ro 1440 x 900, but every time i login, I have to reset it back from 800 x 600.

This is NOT good. I guess somewhere out there is a fix.

Can anyone tell me how to fix it
