I’m running CentOS 7 and am looking to migrate to AlmaLinux using Elevate. I’ve been reading that Elevate works well with just standard CentOS repos.
Over time, I have these repos: EPEL, RPMFusion, PlexRepo, IUS, NUX, Mono and Remi-safe.
- Do I have to remove all of these 3rd party repos (and associated apps)?
- Can I just disable these repos during the migration then re-enable and update after the AlmaLinux migration is complete?
- Or image with Clonezilla and fresh install of AlmaLinux?
I would prefer to be able to migrate to AlmaLinux as it does take some time to recreate the
existing CentOS 7 build.
